It’s Daylights Savings Time Already: What I Use to Unwind and Get a Good Night's Rest

I do love my sleep, but between QVC night hits and early call-times, I’m definitely not the best at getting a lot of it! Ry and I are both definite night owls and I find that I always get my best work done at night, when the world is quiet. Now that our time is being “Colt-ed” by his sleep schedule and Daylight Savings Time / National Sleep Awareness Week (yes, that’s a thing), is somehow already upon us, wanted to share some of the products I use to unwind and get a good night’s rest below:

Casper Mattress:

I LOVE my Casper Mattress. I swear, ever since I got mine I can’t imagine having any other. The picture above is their Classic model, and we opted for the Wave Hybrid, which is known for alleviating back pain. It has three different types of foams that are layered to give you the ultimate source of comfort and optimal sleep by keeping your spine aligned. Its airscape feature keeps the mattress cool, so you don’t need to worry about sweating too, which is totally helping post-partum. Truly the most relaxing mattress and so look forward to getting to bed each night.

The NIGHT Pillow:

I have featured and written about Discover NIGHT’s - all-black NIGHT pillow many times before, as it is hands down, my favorite pillow to sleep with! Deemed “the most comfortable pillow in the world” by celebrities, influencers and customers alike, the NIGHT Pillow™ features air light memory foam that self-adjusts to support every sleep position. The custom-fit mulberry silk pillowcase also supports healthy, youthful skin and hair. I have definitely noticed being able to prolong my blowouts since sleeping on it!

Why the black case - Their signature midnight black color negates light for deeper, more restorative sleep. Whatever magic it holds, it’s definitely does the trick!

Okay no joke, Berkshire makes the soft blankets. It’s so hard to single out a favorite, but their Velvet Soft fabrication is unlike anything you’ve ever felt on your body. When guests come over, they all say the same thing! The perfect combination of minimalism and cozy comfort., the solid Velvet Soft face offers a smooth, velvety base for you to layer throws and other textures on, while the sherpa reverse offers a breathable, comfortable warmth.

Blissy Silk Eye Masks:

If you’re like me, you can’t sleep unless it’s completely dark in the room. I always have my eye mask with me, especially when I used to travel every week. My silk ones have become my faves because they’re so easy on the eyes (literally), yet still capable of blocking out any source of light. I like that Blissly’s don’t grip my head so tightly as well.

Coyuchi Bedding:

Once we met Coyuchi sheets and bedding, we could never go back! When we moved into our new home, we decided to splurge on really good sheets, because the price made up for how much we’d actually use them.

Coyuchi’s sheets are some of the softest, calmest fabrics, I’ve ever felt and I couldn’t be more obsessed. Each piece is designed with 100% organic cotton and they never blend their fibers with synthetic materials like polyester. Every sheet, duvet, pillow and blanket is clean and toxic free.

We decided on the 300 Thread Count Organic Percale for our duvet and sheets and couldn’t be happier.

REN Lavender Spray:

Lavender is shown to stimulate alpha waves in your brain which help you relax and unwind. For that reason, I love to have a lavender spray next to my bed and give my pillow a few spritzes to come down from the day. It definitely helps me to decompress, pull away from all the work and chaos and calm down for bed. One of my favorite sprays is from REN- their Now to Sleep Pillow Spray.

Balance Meditation App:

In order to truly get a great night's sleep, I need to be in the right mindset. I admit, I’m not always the best at making it a part of my daily routine, but when I do meditate, it really helps me to feel grounded and more relaxed instantly. No matter what I have going on that day, meditating allows me to sleep with a better headspace. A few app picks of mine that I’ve been loving: the Balance and CALM app. They both help to personalize your meditation time and provide you with many options to choose from.
