Since it is climate week, I had the opportunity to showcase some sustainable brands that put the environment at the forefront of their mission.

Beyond its products, sk*p is committed to cultivating young changemakers through a variety of programs including the industry’s first all youth board of directors that will feature young environmental activists and supporting climate change education worldwide with Earth Day Network. The formulas also use a proprietary hero ingredient called g-honeybiome, a fermented honey that balances skin and scalp's microbiome.

2. Revtown Jeans

This eco-friendly denim is made from BCI-certified cotton, an initiative aimed at creating cleaner, sustainable cotton production. The denim is sustainably dyed using shrimp shells, orange peels, and nut shells. This process uses 30% less energy, 50% less water, and 70% less chemicals than traditional dying techniques across the industry. It ensures water is used efficiently, regulates the cotton’s soil health to meet high standards, and protects rights for farmers.
Clean denim production is their priority; their environmental practices and restrictions are the strictest regulations in the denim industry. 100% of all waste is recycled into denim yarn or insulation for local housing. This performance denim might bring to mind luxury brands like AG and Joe’s, but at a fraction of the price- just $79 per pair! It was started by 3 former Under Armour Executives who are completely revitalizing the denim market.

Today's food system overuses the planet's resources which makes food one of mankind's greatest global sustainability challenges. Research shows that consuming animal-based food to the extent that we do today is unsustainable. Oatly wants to facilitate a shift to more sustainable food consumption that contains substantially less animal-based products and more plant-based food. Oats are great for several reasons; they use 42% less land than dairy and 91% less water than dairy. They’re a low-input crop, which means fewer resources are used.
